James R. Rumbolz, age 64, of Mitchell, SD passed away in his home on Sunday, June 21, 2020. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday June 26, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday June 25, 2020 at Will Funeral Chapel

James Robert Rumbolz , son of Ernest and Mary Ann (Zwinger) Rumbolz, was born July 30, 1955. . James, "Jim or JR" as he was always known graduated from Mitchell High School.

Jim spent his life working, caring for his family and being an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved doing anything outdoors and especially anything outdoors with his kids. His favorite time of year was hunting season and he and his boys, whether they were his or not, always enjoyed going on those trips. He loved to show the out of state hunters the wonders and hospitality of South Dakota as well. His family and friends knew him as a Daniel Boone like figure. He knew every sideroad,  backroad and hunting spot. If he didn't know about it..it didn't exist.

Jim will be forever loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife LaRee, his five children; Matthew, Kimberly, Christopher, Ryan and wife Kaitlyn, Lana and husband Michael, and his grandchildren Riddick and Knox. James is also survived by his Brothers Gary, Dave, Charlie and Sister Diane. The family would also like to acknowledge forever friend Chris Kawulok.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Ernest and mother Mary Ann, Sister Deborah and Niece Mindy.
