James Michael Dunn, age 69, of Mitchell, SD died Friday June 20, 2008 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial at St. Wilfreds Cemetery in Woonsocket, SD. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. James Michael Dunn, son of Thomas and Bernice (Christian) Dunn, was born January 27, 1939 in Mitchell, SD. James grew up in Mitchell and graduated from Notre Dame High School. James entered the US Army on March 30, 1957 and was honorably discharged on May 29, 1960. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech and Psychology from Dakota Wesleyan University. James was employed as a salesman for Champlin Oil Company. After his retirement, James returned to Mitchell and worked as a bartender at the E-Z Dollar Pub. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Lakeview Golf Course. Grateful for having shared his life are his three children, Kim (Jaime) Bentley, Hawley, MN, Kristi (Joel) Gregersen, LeSueur, MN, Jeffrey Dunn, Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren; his mother, Bernice Dunn, Mitchell, SD; a sister, Mary Jean (Jerry) Bollinger, Pierre, SD; a brother, Robert (Marsha) Dunn, Wasau, WI. And numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas M. Dunn.
