Jacqueline Jackie Carlin, age 58, of Mitchell, died May 22, at the Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 26 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a Rosary at 7 PM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Jackie was born on September 19, 1948 at Richland Center, Wisconsin, to Orval and Vera (Steines) King. She graduated from high school in Fennimore, Wisconsin in 1966. She married Dallas Haines on March 25, 1967 in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage with Thomas Carlin on July 2, 1987, in Rapid City, SD. They moved to Mitchell in 1988 and she worked as a CNA at the Brady Nursing Home and Assisted Living. Jackie was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint and knitting and spending time with her family. She has been a resident of the Avera Brady Health and Rehab for two years. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of Mitchell; her children, Richelle Horn, Huron, SD, Kimberly Hanson and husband, Todd, Jasper, MN; James Haines and wife, Patty, Owasso, Michigan; Anita Altheide and husband, Skylar, Rapid City, SD and Clifford Carlin and friend, Anne Streeter, Hills, MN; fourteen grandchildren and three sisters: Judy Bable, Fennimore, Wisconsin, Virginia Haines, Tomah, Wisconsin, and Arletta Walker, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
