Jackie (Bowar) Miiller, age 68, of Mitchell, SD died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell after a very short courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Ethan, SD. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Jacqueline Jean (Bowar) Miiller, daughter of Roland and Barbara (Puetz) Bowar, was born March 12, 1948 in Mitchell, SD. Jackie graduated from Ethan High School in 1966. She was united in marriage with Dean Miiller on June 28, 1966 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ethan, SD. To this union two children were born, Barbara (Brian) Mentele, Salem, SD and Bonnie (Cory) Haupt, Tea, SD and four grandchildren, Kurt and Kayla Mentele and Mya and Marisa Haupt.

Dean and Jackie farmed west of Ethan until their retirement in 1999, when they moved near Mitchell. After their retirement they enjoyed attending all of their grandchildren's activities and sports, playing cards with family and friends and traveling.

Jackie was a very devoted catholic and belonged to Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD and was also a member of Catholic Daughters, altar society and also volunteered at Brady Memorial Home.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Dean; children and grandchildren; three siblings, Patricia Koepke, Mitchell, SD, Keith (Bev) Bowar, Gillette, WY, Jolene (Roger) Herrick, Sioux Falls, SD; a sister-in-law, Frances (Mel) Simon, Schenectady, NY; a brother-in-law, Dale (Cheryl) Miiller, Mitchell, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, William and Mary Miiller; a brother-in-law, James Koepke; and a niece , Kandi Jo Koepke.
