Jackie Hayden age 66, of Mitchell, died June 9, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Davis, SD. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. Jackie (Jacqueline) Rae Hayden, daughter of James and Mary (Lentz) Hillyer was born October 31, 1946 in Brookings, SD. She attended Brookings public schools, graduating in 1966. Jackie then moved to Sioux Falls and earned a degree in accounting at Nettleton College in 1968. In September of 1968 Jackie married Ronald Shinneman. Together they had one child Barbara. Later Jackie moved to Mitchell, SD and remarried to Arthur Hayden and together they had two children Jim and Theresa. Jackie worked various jobs throughout her life. Jackie enjoyed going to Corn Palace festivals, the rodeo, show choir performances, journaling, getting her hair done with Margaret, spending time with friends, and most of all enjoyed time with her grandchildren. Grateful for sharing he life are her children Barb Appel of Sioux Falls, SD, Jim (Lisa) Hayden of Mitchell, SD and Theresa Hayden of Aberdeen, SD; sister Vickie (Ron) Bernard of Blaine, MN. grandchildren Sam and Cloie Hayden and Holly and Ashley Appel. Jackie is preceded in death by her ex-husbands, her parents and a child in infancy.
