Izora Lucille Stengel, age 98, of Mitchell, SD died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Will Funeral Chapel. Izora Lucille Stengel, daughter of Mertie Zirtzman and Fred Pollman, was born February 20, 1914 at Rock Rapids, IA. She was raised by her mother, Mertie and stepfather, Harlan Kearney. She was baptized as a small child in the Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, IA. At the age of three she moved to Sioux Falls, SD. Izora married Ernest Stengel June 9, 1936 in Sioux Falls. They moved to Denver, CO in 1943. Izora was a supervisor at American Linen Co. for 17 years in Denver, CO. Ernest Stengel died in 1949. In 1966 she married Merril Stengel in Denver, CO. They moved to Mitchell, SD in 1967. Merril passed away in 1975. Izora is survived by her step-son, Dwane Stengel and his wife Joann; a step-daughter, Marlys Richter and her husband, Gary; step-grandsons, Monte Stengel, David Richter and Kelly Richter; family friends, Gene and Mary Paradeis and family. Izora was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; one half-brother, Merlin; and one half-sister, LaVonne. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Asera Care Hospice (4101 S.
