Isabella R. Grohmann, age 75 of Mitchell died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Burial will be in Serviceman's Memorial Cemetery. Isabella Regina Grohmann was born April 13, 1937 in Ethan, SD to Adolph and Elizabeth (Weber) Kurtenbach. She attended Ethan Schools and graduated from Ethan High School. On July 15, 1957 she married Arnold Grohmann and made their home in Mitchell. She worked for Armour Creamery, Mitchell Retirement Home and was a certified co-driver for Marquardt Trucking out of Yankton and spent time with Arnold on the road. Grateful for sharing her life were her children Donna (Neal) Bierman of Avon, SD, Diane (Mike) Nedved of Mt. Vernon, SD, Glenn Grohmann of Fulton, SD and Gene (Jayne) Grohmann of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers and sisters Dorothy (Charles) Otto of North St. Paul, MN, Clarence (De) Kurtenbach of Norfolk, NE, Shirley Robertson of Mitchell, Eddy (Nancy Jo) Kurtenbach of Hoyt Lakes, MN and Kathy (Arnold) Suhr of Mitchell and brother in law Frank Cross of Parkston, SD; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2010 and three sisters.
