Irma L. Scheurenbrand age 94, of Mitchell died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Good Samaritan Manor in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Irma was born August 17, 1916 in rural Artesian, SD to Gilbert and Mabel (Yahne) Carlson. She grew up in Mitchell where she attended school, loved to visit her grandpas farm and worked to help support her family. On May 9, 1939 she married William A. Scheurenbrand in Mitchell. They made their home in Mitchell where she was a homemaker and worked for Armour Creamery. She was a member of Zion Lutheran and Altar Guild. She was a good wife, enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.

Grateful for sharing her life are her children Tom and wife Marge Scheurenbrand of Hartford, SD, Barb and husband Bill Pitts of Sioux Falls, SD and Ron and his wife Charlene Scheurenbrand of Kailua, HI; a daughter-in-law, Ali Scheurenbrand, Mitchell, SD; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband in 200l; two sons Gary in 2000 and Don in 2003; grandson Dominic in 2002; two great grandchildren Isak Thomas Scheurenbrand and Stephani Margaret Lyman; two brothers and one sister.
