Ila Hylland, age 99 of Woonsocket, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday April 13, 2011 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Artesian, SD. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral at 10:00 AM. Ila was born on July 8, 1911 in Sanborn County to Charles and Alice (Clark) Krouse. She grew up and attended country school in Sanborn County. She met Clarence Hylland and they were married on September 14, 1931 in Pipestone, MN. The couple farmed in Miner County until their retirement. After they retired the couple moved to Letcher, SD. She was a member of the Letcher Community Church and loved to play bingo. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Shirley Enfield, Letcher, SD; four grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a great great grandson, Brian Enfield; three brothers, Gustav, Leonard and Leslie.
