H ugo Howard Iburg , son of August and Fredericka (Huber) Iburg was born on July 8, 1929 in Stamford, South Dakota.  Hugo farmed with his family in Mellette Co. and later in Hanson Co. He took on significant responsibilities at a young age after his father's unexpected passing.

Hugo was a deeply faithful person and felt blessed for the life he enjoyed with Darlene.

During his 88 years of life, Hugo's warmth and wisdom inspired his friends, five children, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
