H. LaVee Blindauer, age 75, of Mitchell, died July 20, 2005 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be 12 Noon Saturday in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

H. LaVee Muhs Blindauer was born July 29, 1929, in Aurora County to Paul and Mary (Alt) Howard. She grew up in the Mitchell area and attended various schools. She married Walter Muhs on January 30, 1953, in Mt. Vernon. They lived on a farm north of Mt. Vernon all their married lives from 1953 to 1996. Walt passed away on May 26, 1996. She married Clair Blindauer in December, 1996.

She is survived by her husband, Clair; children: Toy (Mike) Heisinger, of Mitchell, Shelley (Keith) Miller of Urbandale, IA, Rodney (Becky) Muhs, of Mt. Vernon, Harlan (Brenda) Muhs, of Winner, Barbara Jean (Tom) Lewis, Denver, CO, Sharon Ann (Norman) Stethem, Hoven, Ronald Lee Blindauer, Denver, CO, and Julie Lynne (Mark) Phillips, Hartford; twenty-one grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; three brothers: Bill Howard, San Jose, CA, Bob (Maxine) Howard, Valparaiso, IN, John Howard, White Lake; and sisters: Carol Stephens, Wessington Springs, Jean Jirsa, Highmore, Ruth Jirsa, Tucson, AZ, Faye Day, Boise, ID, and Laura Lolly Thomas, West Hills, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, and brothers: Frank, Leo, Nick, Paul Jr, and Teddy.
