Gregg Blankenship, 62 of Mitchell, SD passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Avera McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Will Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2021 at Will Funeral Chapel.

Gregg was born in Mitchell to Richard and Bette Lou (Sharkey) Blankenship on October 1, 1958.  He attended school in Mitchell.  He wrestled in High School, graduating in 1977.  He was a construction worker and lived his entire life in Mitchell.  Gregg enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.

Grateful for having shared his life are his fiancé, Mary Harrington, Mitchell, SD, aunts and uncles, Al (Susan) Blankenship, Alexandria, SD, Doris Grandy, Rapid City, SD, Darlene Lauck, Mitchell, SD, Thelma Hoffer, Mitchell, SD, Bonnie Arend, Woonsocket, MaryAnn Graff, California, Donald Sharkey, Wyoming, and Richard Sharkey, Nebraska, special companion, his dog Boogie, stepchildren, Tonya (Jeremy) Engels, Jesse Dicus, Jason (Mercedes) Dicus, seven step grandchildren, and one step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
