Grace Holoubek, age 97 of Mitchell, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, January 26 at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial at St. Margret's Cemetery in Kimball. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at Will Funeral Chapel with prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM Grace was born on January 1, 1915 in Kimball, SD to Frank and Anna (Gertson) Williamson. She grew up and graduated from Kimball High School in 1934. On November 27, 1934 she married Frank Holoubek in Kimball. The couple farmed north of Kimball until 1959. The couple then moved to Mitchell where she was employed at the Karmel Korn Shop for six years. Grace enjoyed her retirement with her hobbies of camping, fishing, craft sewing teddy bears, quilting, raising flowers, and playing dominos. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the church choir. Grace is survived by a daughter Nancy Puetz and husband Jerry of Mitchell, 9 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband on November 10, 1988, a son James Holoubek, a daughter Pat Meier, a grandson in infancy, 2 brothers, Arthur and Walter "Pete", and a sister Doris.
