Gloria Irene Heisinger, age 66, of Mitchell, SD went to meet her Savior on December 11, 2019, due to complications from cancer, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at the Holy Family Church in Mitchell, SD on Monday, December 16 ^th , at 10:30 AM.  Visitation will be at Will Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a prayer service following.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.

Gloria was born on May 22, 1953 to Cecil and Gladys (Ramser) Parsons in Mitchell, SD. She graduated from Armour High School in 1971.  She went on to the University of South Dakota in Springfield, SD from 1971-1973 and graduated with a business degree.

Gloria married Terry Heisinger on June 3, 1978 at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dimock, SD. They were blessed with two wonderful children; Heather and Jeremy.  Terry and Gloria made their home in Mitchell for their 41 years of marriage.

She was a lifetime employee of Shopko for 46 years where she will be remembered for her friendly smile at customer service and her loyal friendships.

Gloria's interests included knitting, quilting, crafts, sewing, crocheting and making blankets. She enjoyed following DWU basketball and loved attending her grandson's sporting events.

Grateful for having shared her life are her loving husband, Terry; their daughter, Heather (Kasey) Kogel of Sioux Falls, SD; son, Jeremy (Stephanie) Heisinger of Sioux Falls, SD; and five very special grandsons; Tyson and Tate Kogel, Myles, Reece, and Jace Heisinger. Her siblings; Mary (Dave) Koster of Thornton, CO; John of Fairfield, CA; Charlie (Jill) of Lancaster, MO; Bob (Lisa) of Custer, SD; Jim (Jill) of Mount Vernon, SD and Terry (Tammy) of Abilene, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew, Gabe Parsons, and sister in law Joanne.

Gloria had a kind and loving heart and will be missed dearly by all who knew her throughout her lifetime.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
