Gladys (Seppala) Reinesch age 86, of Mitchell, SD died Friday, July 26, 2019 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Gladys (Seppala) Reinesch, daughter of Fred and Dena (Janssen) Hanssen, was born on the family farm near Bridgewater, SD. She attended country school and graduated from Bridgewater High School. After her schooling, Gladys was employed at the hospital in Watertown, SD.

Gladys was united in marriage with Toivo Seppala on August 19, 1953 in Salem, SD. The couple lived in Hayti, SD and later Spokane, WA. In 1958 the couple made their home in Mitchell, SD. While in Mitchell Gladys was employed at Randall Foods, M&H Gas Station, The Happy Chef, Sunshine Foods and finally County Fair. Gladys was united in marriage with Jim Reinesch in 1986.

She was a member of Mitchell First United Methodist Church and a life time member of the Moose Lodge. Gladys served in various positions in the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, gambling and traveling.

Grateful for having share her life are her three children, Pam Erb, Sterling, CO, Randy (Cindy) Seppala, Mitchell, SD, Kathleen Seppala, Mitchell, SD; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Lester Hanssen and a sister, Iva Pfeifer, both of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Toivo Seppala in 1980; her second husband, James Reinesch in 1996; her parents; a son-in-law, Oran Erb; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Vivian Hanssen; and a sister-in-law, Minerva Hanssen.
