Gerry Koster, daughter of Raymond and Dora Marie (Mae) (Henderschiet) Filter was born May 3, 1924 in Spencer, SD. She graduated from Spencer High School and Mitchell Business School.

In 1944 she began working for a downtown Mitchell publishing company gladly accepting a pay rate of 75 cents per hour. On October 8, 1945 she married Lawrence Koster in Mitchell. They had one son, Kenneth. She worked for McLeods Printing and Office supply for over 60 years

She enjoyed reading and watching the food network.

Grateful for sharing her life are her son Ken and daughter-in-law Barb, five grandchildren, Kriss, John, Larry, Tom and Steve and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, her parents and her brother Harold.
