Geraldine Hagebusch, age 83, of Mitchell, died January 15, 2007 at the Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston. Visitation will be held at the Will Funeral Chapel on Friday from 6-8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma. Geraldine was born on July 22, 1923 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Jackson and Nancy (Looney) Blevins. She attended school in Vinita. She married Samuel Hagebusch on Sept. 26, 1942, at Jay, Oklahoma and they moved to Mitchell in the late 1940s. Her husband died on January 5, 1976 and she moved back to Oklahoma. She returned to Mitchell in 1996 where she was active with the Salvation Army, Home League Ladies, AARP, DAV Auxiliary, and Senior Citizens. She had been employed at Prairie View Nursing Home, the Frisco Caf and the Legion Caf. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Ramsey, Disney, OK; one grandchild; a brother, Jack Blevins and wife, Jeannie, Disney, Oklahoma, a sister, Shirley Osburn, Vinita, Oklahoma and a niece, Helen Tietz of Mitchell, SD and numerous other nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Samuel Jr, a brother, John and a sister, Ethel.
