Georgietta M. Oberembt, age 93 of New Hope, MN formerly of Mitchell, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the St. Therese Care Center in New Hope, MN. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 26 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Monday, October 25 at Will Funeral Chapel.

Georgietta was born on November 24, 1916 in Dimock, SD to George and Bertha (Schlimgen) Funke. She grew up in Dimock and attended school at Dimock Catholic School. She was united in marriage to Bernard Oberembt in Dimock, SD on November 4, 1940. The couple made their home in Ethan until 1959 when they moved to Mitchell where she worked as a nurses assistant at St. Josephs Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family parish and the altar society. She enjoyed playing cards and ceramics. Georgietta made her home in New Hope, MN in December 2000.

She is survived by 6 children: Francis (Beverly) Oberembt of Rosemount, MN, Allan (Connie) Oberembt of Fargo, ND, Jean (Johnny) Adams of Hernando, MS, Mary Jo (Don) Jostock of Andover, MN, Karen Greenstein of Coral Springs, Fl, and Peggy (Frank) Parker of Ralston, NE, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, 2 sisters Veronica Friedrich and Bernadine Kurtenbach and 1 brother Wilfred Funke.
