Gary Lee Kilbourn, age 45, of Mitchell, died June 3, at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Gary was born April 3, 1960, in Winner, to Joyce (Rowe) and Harold Buck Kilbourn Sr. He grew up in Winner and attended school through the 11th grade. He move to Sioux Falls with his family in his senior year. After graduating, he worked at the Sioux Falls Stockyards. He has lived in Omaha, Witten, Sioux Falls, and the last two years in Mitchell, caring for his mother. As a youth, Gary enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football. He coached softball as an adult and enjoyed fishing and watching Nascar. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mitchell. Survivors include one son, Sean, of Witten, SD; mother, Joyce Kilbourn, of Mitchell; and siblings, Pam Range and husband, Dwayne, of Mitchell, Harold Pete, Sioux Falls, Paul Kilbourn, and Lynn Kilbourn both of Mitchell, Shawna Durr, Kingsman, Kansas, Valetta Striblen, Topeka, Kansas, Buck Kilbourn, Dodge City, Kansas; twelve nieces and nephews, ten great nieces and nephews and special friends, Shirley Novak, Mike and Patty Novak, Dyonne Rios, and James Wright. He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Bonnie Jo; maternal and paternal grandparents, Henry and Anna Rowe, Louie and Mildred Evans and Walter Kilbourn.
