Freida Marie Stratman, age 96, of Mitchell, SD died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Firesteel Healthcare Community. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell, SD.

Freida Marie Stratman, daughter of Alben and Caroline (Koch) Stratman, was born September 15, 1921 in St. Helena, NE. She moved with her family to Wessington, SD at an early age. Later the family moved to Artesian where the continued to farm.

After moving to Mitchell, Frieda was employed at Randall's and Coborn's Grocery Stores for nearly 25 years before retiring. Frieda was very faithful in taking care of his sick parents and sister.

Survivors include her sister, Sister Armella Stratman, Aberdeen, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Edmund and Clarence Stratman; and a sister Melanie.
