Frank J. Zelasko Jr. age 68, of Mitchell, SD (formerly of Chicago, IL) passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior the services.

Frank J. Zelasko Jr. was born on March 1, 1947 to Frank J. Zelasko Sr. and Mary (Budzinski) Zelasko in Chicago, IL. Frank was united in marriage to Nancy Mikulec on May 30, 1965. Together they made their home in Illinois where they lived in Des Plaines for over 30 years. Frank was an artist and a woodworker. He held various jobs in the trade over the years. The most noteworthy was working more than 10 years for the owners of the historic Chandler Building in Evanston, IL. Frank did everything from artwork for window displays to carpentry work and building maintenance.

Frank and Nancy moved to Mitchell in 1999 to be close to their two sons. On May 30, 2015 Frank and Nancy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Frank enjoyed being a diehard Chicago Bears Fan. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and working on projects with Nancy around their home. They also enjoyed visiting with their special friends and neighbors near their home Cindy, John and Deb, John and Dana. They provided Frank and Nancy with great kindness and generosity.

In April of 2015 Frank became a resident at Avera Brady Health and Rehab of Mitchell. Grateful and blessed to have been at Brady until his passing on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Frank and Nancy developed a bond with the wonderful staff of Angels at Brady during his time there.

Frank is survived and remembered by his wife, Nancy Zelasko, Mitchell; his two children, Frank S. Zelasko, Sioux Falls, SD, Mark F. Zelasko, Sioux Falls, SD; his daughter-in-law, Amanda L. (Brown) Zelasko, Sioux Falls, SD; his sister, Diane (Zelasko) Kirby, Berwyn, IL; his grandchildren, Maegan Zelasko, Nicholas Zelasko and Stella Grace Zelasko.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Zelasko Sr. in 1993 and his mother, Mary (Budzinski) Zelasko in 2011.
