Frances L. Klinkhammer, 91, of Mitchell, died August 10 at the Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Thursday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a scripture reading at 7 PM. Burial will be in the Holy Three Kings Cemetery at Epiphany. Frances was born November 29, 1912 at Spencer, SD to Henry and Caroline (Woods) Klinkhammer. She grew up and attended St. Marys grade school in Epiphany. She attended Nettleton College and worked as a bookkeeper at Anderson Lumber yard in Mitchell and later as a bookkeeper at Independent Oil Company for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was active in church activities, was a member bof Catholic Daughters and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed playing cards and watching ballgames. She entered Avera Brady Assisted Living in August, 2000 and in September 2001, she moved to Avera Brady Health and Rehab. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Helena) Carlson, Madison, and Mrs. Bill (Mary) Simmunek, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William and Raymond and one sister, Bernice.
