Obituary

Frances J. Ebright, age 95, of Mitchell, formerly of Delmont, died January 31, 2006 at the Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Delmont City Cemetery. Frances was born May 22, 1910 at Delmont to Joseph and Ida (Larson) Sanders. She attended school in Delmont where she graduated from high school. She attended Springfield Normal School and received her teaching certificate and taught school for three years. She was united in marriage to Lester Ebright at Delmont on June 11, 1932. They lived on a farm near Delmont and spent a year in Oregon, and then moved back to the farm. In 1960, they moved into Delmont. They moved to the Golden Touch Assisted living in Parkston in 1996. Her husband died in 1999, and in July, 2005, she moved to Rosewood Court in Mitchell and later to Avera Brady. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Delmont, the Ladies Aid and served as a Sunday School teacher. She later joined Zion Lutheran in Delmont, Faith Lutheran in Parkston and had recently been a member of Zion Lutheran in Mitchell. She belonged to TOPS, Do It Dozen Club, 500 Card Club and a Ladies Extension Club. She enjoyed poetry, reading, gardening, music and singing. Frances is survived by a son, Marvin Ebright, of Delmont and friend, Marcella Brietkreutz, of Tripp; Carol Goehring and husband, Reinhold, of Mitchell; eight grandchildren: Ron Schmidt and wife, Julie, Jim Schmidt and wife, Myla, Cheryl Godfrey and husband, Greg and Kent Schmidt and wife, Brenda, Tamra Klassen, Trisa Schaefer, Cindy Galvan and husband, Victor and Todd Ebright and wife, Terressa; sixteen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, Elmer Goehring and wife, Jessica, Diane Dahl and husband, Richard and Chris Goehring, three step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, her parents, a brother, Joseph Sanders, and son-in-law, Don Schmidt.
