Eric John Hemmah, age 29, of Mitchell, SD died Friday, May 11, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace ER. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM.

Eric John Hemmah, son of James and Barbara (Ziegler) Hemmah, was born September 14, 1988 in Mitchell, SD. He grew up and attended school in Mitchell, graduating from Mitchell High School in 2008.

Eric was a caring person. He helped Grandma Ziegler deliver meals on wheels and also helped his teachers when their computer wouldn't work. Eric enjoyed the computer and enjoyed playing video games on the computer and his cell phone. He loved to fish and eat out. Eric listened to music to pass the time and enjoyed bowling. He liked old cars and always wanted to fix them up. Eric had many cats out on the farm that he dearly loved. He had a special gold cat them came to their place as a stray and then came into town to live with him.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, James and Barbara Hemmah, Mitchell, SD; grandma, Carol Ziegler, Mitchell, SD; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his awesome brother, Catlin Hemmah; grandparents, Carman and Virginia Hemmah and  Richard Ziegler
