Elizabeth M. Stange, age 92, of Plankinton, died June 19, at the Aurora Brule Nursing Home in White Lake. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at St. Johns Catholic Church in Plankinton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the church with a prayer service at 7 PM. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery at Plankinton. Elizabeth was born on May 1, 1914, at Plankinton to Peter and Kathryn (Schroeder) Thiery. She graduated from Hopper High School. She married Milo Stange on April 7, 1934 at Plankinton. She worked for sixteen years as a cook at the Storla Nursing Home. She lived in Aurora County all her life. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and the Jolly Bunch Club. Elizabeth enjoyed watching baseball and basketball games, cooking, and playing bingo and card games. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie and husband, Rodney Kinyon of Sioux Falls, sons, Marvin and Jerry, both of Plankinton; four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo on June 12, 1984; sisters, Kate Bauer, Mary Wengler, and Annie Dye and brothers, Ben Wengler, Matt Wengler, John, Louis and Leo Thiery.
