Edna Ione Jennings, 77, of Mitchell, died June 14, 2007 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Monday, June 18, at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. She was born January 19, 1930, to Albert and Julia (Cook) Brown in Mt. Vernon, SD. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1949. She married Harold Morehead June 22, 1949 at the Little Church in the Vale at Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Mitchell until 1962, when they moved to Alexandria. They divorced in 1968. She was employed at Modern Cleaners and Mitchell Laundry. On November 26, 1969, she married Al Jennings at Mitchell. They made their home in Mitchell, Emery, and Spencer and then returned to Mitchell. She was baptized in the Methodist Church. She is survived by six sons, John Morehead and wife, Sue, Spencer, SD, Burton Morehead, Sioux Falls, Clarence Morehead and wife, Kathy, Sioux Falls, Harry Morehead, Alexandria, SD, Roger Morehead, Colorado, and Ronald Morehead, Mitchell; three daughters, Liz Cooper and husband, Bud, Carol Morehead and fianc, Virgil Spaans and Alice Calvert, all of Mitchell; one stepson, Alfred Jennings, Spearfish, SD; sixteen grandchildren, seventeen step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, twenty-three step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one grandson, one step daughter, one nephew and both husbands.
