Edith Overholser, age 97, of Mitchell, SD died Monday April 2, 2007 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Resurrection Lutheran Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Will Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Edith Kindvall, daughter of Herman and Selma (Carlson) Kindvall, was born December 3, 1909 in Aurora, NE. She began her schooling in the Aurora, NE area. At the age of nine she moved with her family to the Carthage, SD area. She continued her schooling in the Carthage area, later graduating from Wessington Springs College. Edith was united in marriage with Martin Overholser on December 28, 1935 in Huron, SD. The couple farmed in the Carthage area. The couple retired in 1967 and made their home in Mitchell, SD. Edith was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and volunteered at Firesteel Healthcare Center. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers; and one sisters.
