Dwight Jerome Hansen Jr. age 65, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday December 12, 2013 at Will Funeral Chapel with burial at the Custer City Cemetery, Custer, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Dwight Jerome Hansen Jr., son of Dwight Jerome Hansen Sr. and Edna Montross, was born December 17, 1947 in Redfield, SD. He lived with his parents in Tulare, SD for 16 years. When his mother became ill, Dwight was admitted to the Redfield State Hospital in 1964 and School and later to Custer State Hospital in 1967. He moved to Mitchell, SD and became a client of LifeQuest on May 29, 1996 and resided at the Gamble Street Apartments. Dwight had quite a sense of humor and was fondly known as the "King of the Gamble Street Apartment". Survivors include his cousin, Judy, other cousins, friends at LifeQuest and staff at LifeQuest. He was preceded in death by his parents.
