Duane Lindeman age 69, of Parkston, SD died April 12, 2017 at Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Salem United Church of Christ in Parkston. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Salem United Church of Christ in Parkston with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM Burial will be in Protestant South Cemetery in Parkston.
Duane Lynn Lindeman was born July 7, 1947 in Parkston, SD to Art and Lucille (Leischner) Lindeman. He graduated from Parkston High School in 1965. After graduation he farmed the family farm and married Mary Hafner on August 9, 1968 and they farmed south of Parkston his entire life.
Duane worked at Corsica Livestock and Mitchell Livestock and later became a partner/owner of Mitchell Livestock until his retirement in 2005.
He was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball fan and proud supporter of all his grand children's activities. He was a member of the Salem UCC Church all his life serving in various positions.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Mary of Parkston; children, Kimberly (Chris) Max of Mitchell, Daren (Lisa) Lindeman of Parkston and Amy (Benn) Richards of Delafield, WI; grandchildren, Carter Max, Carson Max, Camen Max, Sadie Lindeman, Grace Lindeman, Tori Lindeman, Aidan Richards, Hope Richards, Ivey Richards and Aaron Richards; aunt, Dee Brunken of Sioux Falls and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Lynn; parents; brother Doug; brothers-in-law Peter Hafner, John Hafner and Maurice Peterson.
