Doug Pesicka, age 58, of Sioux Falls, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his residence in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at St. Lamberts Catholic Parish in Sioux Falls with burial at 1:30 PM at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Mitchell. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Doug was born on September 20, 1953 to Margaret Pesicka Brutty and George D. Pesicka in Bristol, SD. Doug has been a resident of the Stephan house of South Dakota Achieve since February 2000 where he was given the best care available. Doug is survived by his mother Margaret Brutty, sisters and brothers Kathy Pesicka Miller of Omaha, NE; Steve (Patti) Pesicka of San Diego, CA; Anne (Dave) Parker of Prairie du Sac, WI; Peggy (Arne) Bortnem of Sioux Falls, SD; Bob (Janet) Pesicka of Kansas City, MO; John (Denita) Pesicka of Sioux Falls, SD; John (Sandra) Brutty of Columbus, NE; Jim Brutty of Epiphany, SD; Barb (Jeff) Newman of South Hadley, MA; Roberta (Paul) Parr of Mitchell, SD. Also many nephews and nieces and also had many friends at South Dakota Achieve. Doug is preceded in death by his father George Pesicka, all of his grandparents and his step father Donald Brutty.
