Doug Olinger of Mitchell passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Mitchell, SD after a brief illness. A celebration of life will be held from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Mitchell Assembly of God Church located at 220 W. 19th Ave in Mitchell, SD.

He was born on April 25, 1954 in Mitchell, SD to Harold and C. LaVonne (Oberlie) Olinger. He had three siblings, Don, Linda, and Debora.

Doug enjoyed camping in the Black Hills, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, riding his Harley, driving around with his brother, and spending time with his family. He spent most of his life working as a factory worker at Owatonna, Syncom, Graphic Packaging, and AKG.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, including his wife of 49 years, Joyce (Schulte) Olinger, daughter Christina (Kelly) Knutson of Sioux Falls, SD, son William (Bill) Olinger of Mitchell, SD and three grandchildren, Cooper, Dilyn and Ellie Knutson.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda.
