Dorothy "Dot" Stahl age 82, of Mitchell, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Firesteel Healthcare Community. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Burial will be in Servicemen's Memorial Cemetery.

Dorothy "Dot" Stahl, daughter of Christ and Johanna (Drefs) Fischer, was born November 24, 1935 in Hutchinson County. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Parkston High School in 1955. Upon graduation she worked at Laber and Walz Insurance and later at Mitchell National Bank.

Dorothy was united in marriage with Fred Stahl on November 10, 1956 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD. The couple farmed south of Mitchell, where they raised their two children. They later retired and moved to town. While in Mitchell, Dorothy was employed at various businesses in Mitchell.

Dorothy was a member of First Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Fred Stahl, Mitchell, SD; two sons, Gregg (Barb) Stahl, Mitchell, SD, Gordon (Mary) Stahl, Mitchell, SD; four grandchildren, Robert Stahl, Kristy (Bill) Moore, Skyler Stahl, Haley (Alex) Asmus; three great grandchildren, Laney, Landon and Libby; two sisters, Berniece Bialas, Parkston, SD, Lorraine Peters, Parkston, SD; three brothers, Ray (Millie) Fischer, Parkston, SD, Harold Fischer, Parkston, SD, and Lou (Mary) Fischer, Naples, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Hilda, Linda and Annette; one brother, Bernard.
