Doris Grohmann age 85, of Mitchell died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket, SD. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, SD. At 11:30 AM the family invites family and friends for a time of lunch and fellowship at the Will Funeral Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Doris Anna Grohmann was born March 21, 1931 in rural Fulton to Detlef and Anna (Hargens) Grohmann. She attended Garden Country School until the 8th grade and graduated from Fulton High School in 1949. She worked at Randall Foods in the bakery department for 25 years.

Doris especially enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading magazines and books.

Grateful for sharing her life are her sister Della Schulz of Mitchell; nieces and nephews Gerald Schulz of Mitchell, Joanne (James) Schorzmann of Mitchell, Donna (Neal) Biermann of Avon, Diane (Michael) Nedved of Mt. Vernon, Glen Grohmann of Alexandria and Gene (Jayne) Grohmann of Sioux Falls; 21 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Arnold; one brother-in-law Raymond Schulz and one sister-in-law Isabelle Grohmann.
