At the age of 84, our dearly beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, Diann, left this world to live out her eternity with our Lord Jesus.

"A good name is better than perfume and the day of death is better than the day of birth." - Ecclesiastes 7:1
Diann was born on March 22, 1940, in the small town of Halliday, ND, to Daniel and Lydia (Pfeifer) Mann. She enjoyed her childhood and schooling in Halliday with her eight siblings.
On September 20, 1957, Diann married Clarence Gunsch in Napoleon, ND. Their union was blessed with four children: Daniel, Cheryl, Kenny, and Perry.
One of Diann's greatest passions in life was cooking and baking. She began her career in the restaurant industry, performing various roles from waitress and cook to pastry maker and banquet manager. At home, her family was often spoiled with fresh homemade breads, buns, cakes, pies, donuts—anything you could name. It was common for her family to find eight pies on the dining room table! Diann loved when friends stopped by for a cup of coffee and a pastry. She was also an excellent cook of German cuisine. Many times, when relatives announced they were coming for a visit, they would request a German meal in advance. Diann was always hospitable.
Her true joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. People always felt her genuine humility, love, and peace, which she freely gave to everyone. When Diann gathered with her sisters and brothers, there was never a dull moment—filled with laughter, joking, and fun, whether it was a trip somewhere or a visit at home. She always looked forward to spending time with her siblings.
Diann was an avid card player, with Pinochle being her favorite game. She and her husband Clarence loved when family and friends came over to play cards, often engaging in spirited German chatter. They were always ready for a game, whether with a team or just the two of them.
Playing Bingo on Saturday nights was another activity Diann enjoyed. Many times, friends and relatives joined her and Clarence for these outings.
After losing her husband Clarence in 2006, Diann lived in Sioux Falls, SD, for a short time before moving to Billings, MT. She cherished many outings with her daughter Cheryl and son Perry to various places.
Diann will be remembered for her selflessness and always putting others first. Her contagious laughter, playful jokes on her family and relatives, and her priceless sense of humor will be dearly missed. Diann always had a loving and caring heart and a smile on her face. She was humble and kind to everyone who crossed her path.
"She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness." - Proverbs 31:26
Diann is survived by her children, Daniel Gunsch (Sioux Falls, SD), Cheryl (Kevin) Hance (Billings, MT), Kenny Gunsch (Mitchell, SD), and Perry Gunsch (Billings, MT); grandchildren, Tiffany Hance (Billings, MT), Tara Davis (Missoula, MT), Theresa Skundberg, Danielle Holbrook (Sioux Falls, SD), Shelby Ahrenstorff (Mitchell, SD), Carli Gunsch, and Kobe Gunsch (Sioux Falls, SD), Sisters, Marlene Cook (Clayton) (Killdeer, ND), Eldora Bull (Midland, TX) and brother, Richard Mann (Tacoma, WA).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gunsch; her parents, Daniel and Lydia Mann; her brothers, Gilbert, Clarence, Duane, and Merrill Mann; her sister, Ruthie; her grandsons, Kory Hance; and her great-grandson, Jamie Smelser.
