Dennis Francis Hohn, 77, of Plankinton, SD, died January 22, 2020. At his request, no service will be held. Dennis will be among the first veterans to be interred at South Dakota State Veteran's Cemetery.

Dennis was born April 18, 1942 in Ethan, SD to Marvin and Frances (Jacobs) Hohn, the fourth of 12 children.  After graduating from Plankinton High School, he proudly served in the United States Army as a member of the 82 ^nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, NC.  After he was discharged, Dennis returned to the family farm and married Eileen Larson in 1967. He engaged in farming as his lifelong occupation along with his wife.  In their 52 years together, they raised three children whose families continue to gather at the farm where his sons continue in the family business.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Eileen; their children and spouses, Jennifer and Mike Hawkinson, Darren and Carla Hohn, and Dustin and Keara Hohn; two grandchildren, Emma and Austin Hohn; and seven brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by five siblings and two siblings in infancy.
