Delmar Lavern Worden was born August 12, 1934 to Howard and Katie (Wilkins) Worden in Bassett, NE, the oldest of four children. He grew up and attended school in the Springview, Bassett and Ainsworth area and later moved to Kansas City where he met and married Charlotte Jackson. After Charlotte's death he returned to Bassett. Delmar loved playing cards, especially pinochle and pitch. He also enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles, listening to country music, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and infant son Thaddeus, brother Harold Worden and sister Nancy Simons. He is survived by his daughter RoxAnn Andersen and husband Scott, Mitchell, SD; granddaughter Kirsten Zambrano and husband Josh, Sioux Falls, SD; grandson Jesse Andersen, Mitchell, SD; brother Norman Worden, Colome, SD; sister in law Twila Hansen, Winner, SD; brother in law Bud Simons, Springview, NE, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
