Delbert "Del" Kirkus, age 87, of Mitchell, SD died peacefully at his home Wednesday, July 1, 2015 surrounded by his family and close friends. He is survived by his two children Kelly (Bill) Hinds, Aberdeen, SD, Chris Kirkus, Sioux Falls, SD, grandchildren and a brother, Russell Kirkus, Mitchell, SD. At the request of Del - a private family burial will be held with arrangements under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. A special thank you to the Avera Home Hospice team and the Home Instead team - both in Mitchell for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Will Funeral Chapel, which will be directed to the Kirkus Family.
