Dawn Twedt, age 50, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at First Lutheran Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Dawn Twedt, daughter of Carroll and Sandra (Grosz) Twedt, was born July 5, 1966 in Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Mitchell and attended school there. Dawn graduated from Mitchell High School in 1984 and later from Dakota Wesleyan University with degrees in English and Art.

Dawn enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She enjoyed adventure, whether visiting the Pacific Ocean or whale watching in the Atlantic Ocean. Dawn enjoyed wool rug hooking and spending time with her family and friends

She was a former member of First Lutheran Church in Mitchell.

Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Carroll and Sandra Twedt, Mitchell, SD; a sister Jamie Twedt, Denver, CO; two nephews, Isaac and Elijah King, both of Denver, CO; and a "special granddaughter" Tessa Harvey; numerous aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents plus an aunt and uncle.
