David Preston Wire, age 47, of Mitchell, SD died Friday January 28, 2011 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday January 31, 2011 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Artesian, SD. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

David P. Wire was born June 28th 1963 in Mitchell, SD to Donald and Beverly (Peer) Wire. He graduated from Mitchell High School. During his high school years he began working at Randall Food Store/ Coborns in which he continued to dedicate his time until his illness 3 years ago.

Dave loved to be outdoors. A few hobbies he truly enjoyed included hunting and fishing with his brothers. As we all know Dave, he enjoyed animals. His current spoiled pet, is his cat, Girlfriend.

Dave always enjoyed the company of others, greeting all with a smile and a joke. He loved spending time with his family and special friends Jerry Bartcher and Dr. Jim Beaty.

David is survived by his mother, Beverly Jean Wire, Mitchell, SD; his twin brother, Daniel P. Wire, Sioux Falls, SD, Laverne Dick (Carol) Wire, Madison, SD, Ronald Butch (Mary) Wire, Pierre, SD and his favorite sister, Colleen (Bob) Bouman, White River, SD; five nieces, Heather, Tasha, Angie, Amy and Kristen; five nephews, Jared, Brad, Justin, Casey and Dustin.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Wire.
