David T. Wilson, age 78, of Mitchell, died January 26, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery with military rites. David was born April 21, 1926 in Crookston, Minnesota to Henry and Myrtle (Hovdesven) Wilson. He attended elementary school and high school in Crookston. He attended St. Olaf College for two years in Northfield, MN and served in the US Navy from 1944-1946. He married Marcella Geerdes on June 11, 1950 in Davenport, ND . He was employed in sales with Minneapolis Moline and worked in sales with Prudential Insurance Company for over 25 years. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the Elks Club and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Marcy, of Mitchell, a son, Jim Wilson and wife, Marilyn of Mitchell; grandchildren, Kristy and Kyle Wilson, of Mitchell and Taylor Wilson, of Rapid City; sisters: Evelyn (Neal) Johnson, Kerrville, Texas, Carolyn (Duane) Eklin, Plymouth, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by a son, John, in 1989, and a sister, Marilyn Brue.
