David Lee Goldammer age 48, of rural Plankinton, SD died from an apparent heart attack Friday December 10, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday December 14, 2004 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Graceland Cemetery. . The family will be present from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Will Funeral Chapel. David Lee Goldammer was born January 10, 1956 in Mitchell, SD. He grew up and attended school in Mitchell. As a teenager David moved to Illinois and was employed at Woods Bros as a welder. He returned to Mitchell and was employed at Owatonna Manufacturing as a welder and laterdrove truck . David was united in marriage with Kim Kreitlow on November 11, 1979 in Mitchell. He was then employed as the dredge operator for the State of South Dakota. In his later years he helped his brothers on the family farm and implement business. David enjoyed E-bay, horses, his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting and rebuilding cars. He also loved to watch his son Cody ride his dirt bike. Grateful for having shared his life are his five children, Jennifer Goldammer, Aguanga, CA, David H. Bud Goldammer and his wife, Cori, Letcher, SD, Jodi Goldammer and her fianc Joey Hofer, Mitchell, SD, Samantha Goldammer, Plankinton, SD and Cody Goldammer, Plankinton, SD; five grandchildren, Kiesha, Keira, Morgan, Kane and Ivy; his mother, Darlene Goldammer, Mitchell, SD; two brothers, Mike Goldammer and his wife, Jane, Mitchell, SD, Billy Goldammer and his wife, Barb, Mitchell, SD; a sister, Susan Hohn and her husband, Larry Junie, Rock Hills, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, William Goldammer.
