Daryl Dean Weable, age 84, of Mitchell, SD, died December 2, 2015 at Avera Queen of Peace. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Will Funeral Chapel, with a 7:00PM prayer service.
Daryl Dean Weable was born on July 11, 1931 to Lee and Nina Weable in Artesian, SD. He graduated from Fedora High School in 1949. He enlisted in the Army on February 28, 1951 and served in the Signal Corp until February 15, 1954. He married Darlene Donahue at St. Charles Church in Artesian, SD. Daryl farmed, raising cattle, hauling and stacking bales, until he retired and moved to Mitchell in 1996. He taught his nieces and nephews the love of the outdoors and to appreciate nature. Bird feeders were the main sight on the patio after his retirement. He was very proud of his yard and the many trees and shrubs he planted, and was very pleased when he received the "Yard of the Month" award.
Daryl is survived by his wife of 65 years, Darlene, brothers-in-law Ardell (Beverly) Donahue and Don Scott, and many nieces and nephews- who he was very fond of.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Neal Weable, and sister, Jean Barton.
