Danny Barber was a kindhearted genuine man. He was the rock of his family and would help anyone in need. There is not a person out there that had an unkind word to say about him. Danny was born in Sioux Falls SD and moved to Mitchell SD to live with his grandparents due to an illness. He was raised a devout Catholic. Danny attended school in Mitchell and graduated from Notre Dame Catholic School in 69'. He was one of the last ones to be drafted to go to Viet Nam in 69' and returned in 70'. He went to MVTS and graduated in 72'. He met Puddy in 71'. They got married on 3/17/73 and moved to Omaha, NE where they had their only child, Lisa. Dan worked for the bakeries through the unions and was able to retire early but he continued to work. He became a Maintenance man for UNMC and finally retired in 14'. Danny's retirement years were spent with family and friends. He enjoys fishing, boating, and hunting. Danny's life was filled with laughter and love!
