Dale Benjamin Wooner, age 67, passed away August 20, 2019 at Avera McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Dale was born on September 8, 1951 to Ben and Violet (Clouse) Wooner.  He grew up on a small farm east of Mitchell, later moving to West Hanson where he and his father raised horses, attended shows and went on trail rides.  Dale's love for horses later grew into a love for cars and motorcycles.

Dale became a lineman and worked for many years around York, Nebraska where he raised his son, Nick and daughter, Kate.

Motorcycles became his passion and he attended MTI in Phoenix, Arizona. Dale was a factory trained certified Harley Davison Technician.  He later returned to Mitchell and opened KD Cycle motorcycle repair.  After retirement he continued to tinker on bikes in his garage.

Dale loved to hunt, fish, camp and explore "roads less traveled" either on horseback or bike, just to see where they led. He had a way with dogs and kids and could amuse both with a wink and a smile.

Dale was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Despite many trials and much pain, Dale never lost his compassion, patience, thoughtfulness and unwavering belief in God.

Grateful for having shared his life is his loving companion of 17 years, Jodi Altstiel and Dale's many friends.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents.
