Dale Patzlaff, 82, of Alexandria, SD passed away on Monday June 17, 2024 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday June 24, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church in Mitchell. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Fulton, SD.

Dale was born on December 12, 1941 in Mitchell, SD to Therman and Helen Patzlaff. He farmed his entire life. He graduated from Fulton High School before serving with the Army National Guard from 1963 until 1969.

Dale was united in marriage with Marilyn Phinney in 1965 in Fulton, SD.

He loved the independence of farm life, cared about the land and enjoyed his calling for farming. After a days work he could be found enjoying a large bowl of ice cream and a bottle of Coke. Dale loved to visit state parks and picnicking. He and his wife, Marilyn were regulars at River Boat Days in Yankton for several years, enjoying the fireworks, tractor and car shows and the music.

Dale is survived by his wife, Marilyn, daughter Stephanie Patzlaff, and his twin brother, Gale (Geri) Patzlaff.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ryan and Darwin as well as his parents.
