Curtis A. Pueppke age 79, of Mitchell, SD passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial and military rites at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Curtis A. Pueppke, son of Alva W. Pueppke and Adeline (Kumm), was born in Mitchell, SD.  He graduated from Farmer High School in 1958.  He joined the Air Force and was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force base in Rapid City, SD.  He was a radio repairman for B 29's.

Curtis married Jean Norris in March of 1961, they had three sons, Alan, Scott, and Randy. After being discharged from the Air Force in July of 1964 he moved to Alexandria and started farming; later moving to the Canova area where he owned and operated a dairy farm.

On May 6 ^, 1988 he married Shirley Huber.  Curtis continued farming and dairy operations until 1999.  After retiring he and Shirley went on several cruises.  They enjoyed ballroom dancing and danced at many ballrooms throughout the United States.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Shirley; sons, Alan (Cheryl) Pueppke, Randy (Carol) Pueppke, Scott (Donna) Pueppke; stepson, Dave (Janette) Huber; stepdaughters, Carol (William) Herrboldt, Cathy (Dave) Broesamle; grandchildren, Jeremy Pueppke, Nathan Pueppke, Mitchel Pueppke, Airlia Pueppke, Brock Herrboldt, Matthew Huber, Jamie Huber, Krista Huber, Katie Rambo, Kyle Huffstetler and thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Don Pueppke; four sisters, Shirley (Don) Schuldt, Judy Pueppke, Lyla VanBriesen and Jane (Gary) Leeling.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis and step daughter Brooke Herrboldt.
