Corrine Corky Kirkus, age 79, of Mitchell, SD died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at Sanford USD Medical Center. As per Corrines request a private family committal will be held.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Del Kirkus, Mitchell, SD; two children, Kelly (Bill) Hinds, Aberdeen, SD, Chris (Mary) Kirkus, Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren; a brother, Perry (Gretchen) Strombeck, Hill City, SD; a sister, Marlys (Jerome) Schmitz, Aberdeen, SD; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Frances Leiferman and a brother-in-law, Don Leiferman.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Will Funeral Chapel which will be directed to the Kirkus family.
