Clarice C. Adema, age 76, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, February 10, 2019 peacefully at Avera Queen of Peace under hospice care. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at First Reformed Church in Mitchell with burial at Servicemen's Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Clarice C. Adema, daughter of Joe and Hattie (Bonsma) Odens, was born February 27, 1942 in Springfield, SD. She graduated from Springfield High School. Clarice was united in marriage with James Adema on August 25, 1960. She was a stay at home mom for many years also taking in laundry, babysitting and ironing for senior citizens. Later Clarice was employed at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, walking and visiting with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved traveling with her husband Jim on their motorcycle and in their car.

Clarice was a member of First Reformed Church in Mitchell, SD.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Jim Adema, Mitchell, SD; six children, Wilma (Al) Kirkeby, Brandon, SD, Loren (Nancy) Adema, Sioux Falls, SD, Linda Binstock, Pierre, SD, Leon Adema, Sioux Falls, SD, Carla Strauser, Mansfield, TX, and Brian (Karie) Adema, Wellington, CO; 19 grandchildren;  21 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jerome (Donna) Odens, Springfield, SD, Richard (Carolyn) Odens, Harrisburg, SD, John (Joanne) Odens, Ferndale, WA; two sisters, Roseann (Marv) Brinkman, Ramona, SD and Joleen(Sam) Bursell, Umatilla, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
