Clarence W. Stratman age 86, of Mitchell, died Monday, July 16th, 2018 at Firesteel Health Care Community. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 PM Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Artesian, SD.

Clarence W. Stratman, son of Alben and Caroline (Koch) Stratman was born January 31, 1932 in Wessington, SD. He lived in the Artesian area.

Clarence farmed south of Artesian, SD. He was united in marriage with Martha (Schmit) Stratman at St. Charles Catholic Church in Artesian, SD. The couple continued to farm near Artesian, SD.

After Clarence's parents died he moved to Mitchell, SD, where Clarence was a handy man. He also was employed as a custodian at Holy Family and Holy Spirit Catholic Churches and the theater.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Grateful for having shared his life are his two sisters, Frieda Stratman, Mitchell, SD and Sister Armella Stratman, Aberdeen, SD.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; parents; a sister, Melanie and two brothers, Lawrence and Edmund Stratman.
