Clarence Alvin Boulthouse was born September 14, 1928 in Chancellor, SD to Albert and Nancy (Otten) Boulthouse. Clarence schooled in Parker, SD and worked on the railroad with his father until entering U.S. Army in May of 1951, after his discharge in February of 1953 he returned home and worked for the Milwaukee Railroad.
He married Viola Postma on March 26, 1955 in Luvern, MN. and the couple made their home in Mitchell. Clarence worked for the Millwaukee Railroad for 35 years, became disabled and retired in 1977. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion. Clarence enjoyed hunting in his younger years, animals and most of all his kids.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife Viola of Mitchell, SD; daughters Jackie Kessler and husband Gene of Mitchell, SD and Judy Timmins and husband Terry of Mitchell, SD; sister LaDell Curtis and husband Wayne of Douglas, Wyoming; three grandchildren Trisha Moe and husband Mike of Brandon, SD, Christy Riddle and her husband, Rob, Anniston, AL, Terri Seaman and her husband, Aaron, Sioux Falls, SD; four great grandchildren, Madison and Landon Moe, Brandon, SD, Brandon and Jacob Riddle, Anniston, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Leone Tuengue and niece Karla Curtis.
